I Should Have Broken My Leg

Man, our VBS is rocking! So much so that I nearly broke my leg!

No joke. I'm leading worship at VBS this year. In all the dancing and jumping that I was doing, I fell through the stage…literally. Our stage has a grate near the front of it and my right leg went right through it.

Amazingly, no one even noticed that it happened!

Much more amazingly, I didn't get hurt at all. Honestly, I should have at least sprained my knee, or maybe even broken my leg. But I am fine. Totally, completely, absolutely fine. I can't explain it, other than it's a God thing. There's no logical reason that I didn't seriously injure my leg, but I'm good to go.

Thanks God!

Your nearly serious mishap got me thinking about one way to liven up our children's ministry. We need a slide. Upon dismissal, we skip the stairs and all the kids hop into the tube to the basement.

While we're at it, let's install a pool slide above the baptistery!

I think you would have broke it if your were singing anything else. Or was it your lightning fast reflexes that saved you (also from God)? Any way I'm glad you are alright.

I've been accused of a lot of things in my life. Having "lightning fast reflexes" has never been one of them!

    How about just fast.

I like fast food. Does that count?

    Sure that counts.
