Pappadeaux – Last Impressions
Apr/080
A final post on our dining experience at Pappadeaux.
After a delicious dinner, we paid our bill and then got up to leave. As we were walking out, several of the staff members told us goodbye, along with their sincere wishes to see us again. Once again, they all seemed thrilled that a couple of first-timers chose to visit their establishment.
I've never been to a restaurant where they were so friendly. As first-time guests, they rolled out the red carpet for us in every way imaginable.
Right before I walked out, one of the staff members said, "I really hope to see you again." I smiled and said, "You will."
When people walk out of your church, what impressions will they carry with them? Will it be things like…
"I felt like an outsider. I didn't understand what was happening in the service. The language confused me."
"No one talked to me. I was all alone."
"People were too pushy. Back off and let me breathe!"
"That was really boring."
Or, would their final impressions be things like…
"I actually understood what was happening during the service. I can't believe it, but I even enjoyed it."
"People were warm and friendly, but not overbearing. I was welcomed, but not smothered."
"This is something that I want to do again."
