Some random thoughts this evening…
It's official. God is doing something amazing at ACC. If you're not ready for a wild ride, you'd better jump off now. Because we're on a roller coaster that has just about crested the first hill. It's really exciting now. But the fun is just beginning!
I hate spring. I know that makes me weird to most people, but my allergies don't bother me at all in the winter. I feel fine in the winter and cruddy in the spring. I thought I was going to lose my voice in first service this morning, all because of the junk in my head/throat. Thanks spring.
Been a while since I played acoustic guitar for a whole set with our worship band. I filled in on bass for a while after our bass player left for Iraq. (Miss ya, Brian!) Now that we have secured another bass player, I stepped out of that role. (You rock, Dane!) But acoustic is my primary instrument. Felt good to strum again today.
Brian was gone on vacation this weekend. He and Cara spent the weekend at a Bed & Breakfast in Gatlinburg. I had to read a few Scriptures about envy while they were gone!
Our worship band was smoking today! It's awesome that Brian can step away and our band steps it up even more. Huge thanks to Josh and Marie for leading worship this morning. Awesome job!
Picked up some Easter candy today. Just polished off a Cadbury caramel egg. That's what I'm talkin' about!
Ryan is watching Alvin & Chipmunks right now. I picked up some DVDs for him at the library. Alvin and the boys just belted out the song Footloose. Pretty fun watching my wife sing along. She's definitely a child of the 80s. Brock was really jamming, too. Eat your heart out, Kenny Loggins. You've got nothing on the Edmistens.
I can't believe I get to do what I do. ACC, I absolutely love being your pastor. Can't imagine doing anything else.

Indeed, you are one blessed man, mike! So excited to watch God move as you faithfully administer the grace given you with this body!
