I Can't Believe I Get to Do This!

Yesterday, I asked Brian, "Can you believe you get to do this for a living?"
He smiled and said, "No, I can't."
Me neither.
I can't believe I get to preach. And not only that…I get PAID to do it!
I get to lead God's church…and I go home with a paycheck each week!
I have a front row seat to watch God change lives…and I'm "on the clock" while it's happening!
There are times in ministry where you just want to quit. It can be an unbelievably hard road to travel.
But then, there are a whole lot of times where I just sit back in awe that I get to do this for a living.

Very true..such a privilege to be paid to focus on building the kingdom. but many, many, many thanks for the afterhours, all times of the day, any day of the week sacrifices you make for those you shepherd. you are never 'off duty', and there is a certain weight to that responsibility that cannot be compensated by a pay check. so while there is a sense that you 'get to do this for a living'…even more so there is a sense 'we get to be blessed by this man of God…and all he asks is a small paycheck to take care of his family'. i have been blessed because you chose ministry vocationally, so thank you, mike! much love from michi
